Shop Owner: Jim Romeo: Jim has a life long background, education and training in automotive and motorcycles. Starting as a young boy in his uncle's race shop and working many years as a automotive and motorcycle technician he built his foundation in mechanics. Later Jim was an assistant professor at Hudson Valley Community College for 17 years as a full time tenured faculty in the Automotive Technical services department. Jim specialized in engine performance, electronics and emission controls. Jim was also employed by General Motors as a contract instructor responsible for dealership level training throughout the Capital District and the NYC area. Jim has extensive experience in dynamometer research testing relating to performance and emissions. His education is in general science including physics and math. He also works often as an expert witness in testimony relating to his expertise. Jim has many years as a race car lead crew member as well as experience with NASCAR. Jim has been racing motorcycles for 37 years in district 3 flat track and has won many championships over the years as well as winning numerous races including the 1983 Ice racing nationals. Jim is the holder of an AMA Expert license and has raced TT, short track, 1/2 mile, Hare Scrambles, Enduros and Motocross. Jim is also an avid road rider having been all over the US over the years and is the owner of several classic street bikes. All this experience culminates at Pro Cycles and is at your disposal as one of our customers.
